Product Review: Skillet Bacon Jam

First let me start this review by saying I LOVE bacon. I mean...I really love it. I can eat a whole pack of bacon to myself...I know this because I did it once (and felt deep deep shame, and thought I was going to have a heart attack). So while some might be turned off by something called Bacon Jam, my first reaction when I received the jar was to go all Golem and hiss "my preciouuuuuus" while my family stared at me like I finally lost it. Although it is called Bacon Jam I think it is more fair to call it a spread, but I think calling it Bacon Jam makes it more interesting. Basically it is niman ranch bacon rendered down with onions, basalmic, and spices into a delicious smoky and sweet spread. The Bacon Jam is really packed with flavor so a little bit goes a long way in my opinion. Also, on the jar it says that it tastes best if it is warmed a little. I put some on a biscuit fresh from the oven and I was in bacon heaven. There are tons of ways to enjoy Bacon Jam, like on a burger, a grilled cheese, or on a sandwich with lettuce and tomato (a BJLT). If you like trying different spreads or just love bacon I think this is a product you would enjoy.
